Harte & Co Outdoor Lighting started with two guys who met in the halls of Slippery Rock University and never lost touch. Reece came up from Texas in 2018, and Pennsylvania has been home ever since. Matthew Harte, owner, grew up in Montgomery County and still calls it home — the same townships, neighborhoods, and streets we light up today. This isn't a franchise that dropped a pin on a map. We live here.

Between the two of us, we've worked a lot of jobs: labor, sales, customer service. Different industries, same pattern. The work itself was rarely the problem — it was everything around it. Quotes that changed after the fact. Calls that didn't get returned. Crews that showed up late, or not at all. Good people doing decent work inside companies that treated customers like a ticket number. That was the part we couldn't control.

So we built one where we can.
